The problem I see is that certain nations/ship types, WG seems bound and determined to create premiums that don't match up with that nation and ship type's general capabilities. Meanwhile for destroyers there's only Campbeltown, Gallant, Cossack and Druid. It could be they're chasing demand but most of those seem uncommon and unpopular choices. We've now got 8 total, Exeter, London, Belfast, 3 at T8 in Belfast '43, Tiger '59 and now Hampshire, then Plymouth and Gibraltar. The main question to me is why WG is so obsessed with RN cruiser premiums. I run Minotaur without any torpedo skills, but certainly not a good fit for Hampshire.Ĭould be worse for skills, could be Tiger '59.

Honestly, I hate it when WG releases a premium that bears no resemblance to the ships of that tech tree line. I think that the Iwami could have been more interesting with 18" guns rather than 16" guns.Īs for the Hampshire, I agree. My disappointment with her is that I find it difficult to see her as an upgrade over the Amagi or the Kii, since she lost 2 (16") guns, and I don't see those 20 km torps as having much value. Meh, I don't think that the Iwami is a bad premium. WG is now 0 for 2 with its last two ship releases: Hampshire and Iwami. I have not been impressed by the Hampshire and will not buy it.
